She died leaving 4 minor children. It is not known what happened to them. Their Uncle Albert Newton Brown asked to be their guardian, and the Brown County Probate Court agreed, but none of Albert's decendents know anything about any of this.Elliot owned several pieces of land in Brown County. And at his death, he owned the Old Brown Homestead, having bought it from his siblings. He was elected the first Chairman of the first school board in Pike Twp. Assessor in 1845 and again in 1857. And a Treasurer in 1852/53 & 54.
