Relatively Speaking: Growing My Family Tree

Updated September 5, 2000

This is merely the beginning....
This is the first geneology site I have created and it will to take me a while to get all my listings up for all to see. Check back periodically to see the progress, or email if you can't wait!

Some of the surnames I am researching are:
Johann Peter Ensslin came to OH from Germany in 1854. He married Caroline Bauer (also of Germany). It seems they had 9 children between 1863 and 1880: Albert, William, George, Julia, Dorothea Margaret, John Victor, Caroline, Mary and Charles. John Victor married Lucinda Lane in Spokane, WA, and their children were Mary, Nelson Edward and John Victor, Jr. Charlotte Smith and John Victor Enslin, Jr were my mother's parents.
Nelson Lee Lane married Mary Ann Meyers. Their children were Charles and Lucinda Jane.
WILSON**--also Doolittle, Stitt, Smallwood, Van Camp, Rosenkrans, mostly of MD, NY, VA, OH, and IN.
SMITH**--mostly from MD and NY, headed west on the Oregon Trail

**I have lots of names in my tree here, but it will take some time to get it all on the website.
HULL--Mary Hull, born in Iowa January 28, 1855, married Newton L David Smith, Sr in 1877, and died March 20, 1936 in Long Beach, WA. They had 3 children: Neva Gertrude, Harold Holden, and Newton Sheldon (all Smith).
JOHNSON--Jane Johnson was born August 14, 1846 in Indiana and married Jesse H. Wilson,Jr on November 4, 1867. They had 7 children and she died January 10, 1919 in Portland, OR.

David and Sarah Anglemyer of Saskatoon, Saskatechewan, Canada, had 7 children. Among them was Forrest Groves Anglemyer, who married Florence Yvette Holt. They were my father's parents. Florence's mother was born as either Hazel or Daisy Miller, in Brinnon, WA and married Arthur Holt. Family stories talk about her divorcing him, and then somehow she became known as Hazel Odegard, possibly after a stepfather. Most people just knew her as Gramma Daisy. She died in Multnomah Co, Portland, OR, where she has lived for at least 35 years.

*eventually my research will include:
NIMS (his father's side)
MITCHELL (his mother's side)
