I am researching the NINNEMAN[N] Family from Sand Schonau, Kres Regenwalde,state of Pommern,Prussia Germany. Sand Schonau was a small community located within the Lutheran parish of Gross Benz. It is now located in Bience, Nowogard, Szcecin, Poland. I have two baptismal records of two of the family members from the church records in Gross Benz. The NINNEMAN[N] family came to the U.S. in April of 1867 and stayed with relatives I think [but not proved] in Wisconsin for two years before moving to Watertown, Carver Co. Minnesota.While in Carver Co. one of the sons of this family [ my Grand Father. Charles Frnak NINNEMANN ] married Wilhelmina BUHLER on November 23rd 1872. The BUHLER'S came to the U.S. from Aarwangen, Bern, Switzerland on the 26th of June 1847.They first stayed in Ohio abt. five years before moving to Decatur, Indiana where My Grand Mother Wilhelmina BUHLER was born. The family then moved to Watertown, Carver Co. Minnesota where Charles Frank NINNEMANN and Wilhelmina were wed. Charles and Welhilmina NINNEMANN moved to Ortonville, Big Stone Co. Minnesota where my Father was born [Paul Walter Ninneman]Some of the other names I am research are. CARPENTER, MEHNER, DAVENPORT, POPPLE, HEMSTREET and STEPHENS all from Herkimer Co. NY. Two others are FORNCROOK AND WYCKOFF of Mountgomery Co. NY.Any information about these families would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
