 Includes NotesNotes for William Nipp:
William seemed determined to follow in his father's footsteps, for at the tender age of twelve he began learning his father's trade (millwright) and later in life bought the Blue Mills in prairie township, Henry co, IN where he and his brother, John Jr. were partners in business. They made first class grade flour and sold it before it ever left the mill.

William is said to have been hit by an oncoming train while warning his friends to clear the tracks. They were doing repair work on the tracks. A newsclipping that I have is very descriptive about how he was totally dismembered. He was hailed a "hero" by everyone who knew him.
