This photo was taken circa 1926/27 in McConnellsville, Morgan Co., Ohio. Dean Johnson (Johnston) and his grandmother, Alta (Coyle) Farnsworth. Alta Coyle Farnsworth was b. Sept. 1875 in Noble Co. The d/o Zachariah and Almira (Kelly) Coyle. She married Amirah Jackson Farnsworth from New Matamoras. Amirah and Alta had two daughters, Myra Mae and Rosa "Bertha" Farnsworth. Alta died on March 11, 1941 from injuries after being kicked in the stomach by her employer while living in McConnelsville, Morgan Co., Ohio. Dean is the s/o Herman Dewey Johnson & Myra Mae Farnsworth, both of Washington County, Ohio. On Jan. 15, 1944 Dean married Geraldine Haught in Marietta, Ohio. Had a son James (Jim). Sometime before 1954 Dean changed his last name from Johnson to Johnston. In March of 1954 Dean married Darlene Hoffmeister in Lincoln Nebraska. Their children are: Steve, Ric, Daniel and Donna Johnston. Dean died in December 1977 in Omaha, Douglas Co., NE. Buried at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Co. NE. From what I am told, Jim Johnson is still living somewhere in the Marietta area. I have never met Jim, and Dean's other children didn't know he had another son unitl last year. If anyone who knows of a Jim Johnson whose parents were Dean Johnson and Geraldine Haught, let him know that he has a 1st cousin and 1/2 brothers and sisters who would like to make contact with him.
