This is a Atlas map of a partial east end half of DUNHAM twp. in 1875. Most of this cropped map was once a part of Warren twp. until 1855 when Dunham was formed. As you can see JOHN and JOEL Dodge owned land next to each other in 1838. Of course, this was still in Warren Twp. at this time. According to the "original" Treasure Duplicate Book for 1838, JOHN DODGE was taxed for 75 acres in Lot #264 of R9 T1 S35. JOEL DODGE was taxed for 160 acres in Lot #265 R9 T1 S35. THIS IS THE CLOSEST LINK THAT I CAN FIND THAT PLACES MY JOEL DODGE with CAPTIAN JOHN DODGE. Shows also where WILLARD & ELIZABETH (COLE)GREENE, SR. lived before 1839.
