The Barton Conor Shields Family Home Page

I am searching for the BARTON family from West Hawkesbury Township, Prescott County, Ontario. Oliver Barton first appeared in the 1831 Ontario Census. He came from Ireland and had 2 brothers, Atchinson, William and one sister Amelia, who died shortly after coming to Canada.
In addition, I am also researching the SHIELDS family from West Hawkesbury Township, Prescott County, Ontario. Andrew Shields came to Canada in 1821. I am at present looking for his son George Shields would have been the first or second son. He moved from Prescott County to Peterborough County.

Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
