David Nivison of Dumfriesshire, Scotland

I am researching the Murray family of Canonbie, Dumfriesshire, Scotland.
William Murray was born in Applegarth, Dumfriesshire about 1797. I'm not sure of the exact date.
He married Mary Carruthers in 1826 and they had 5 sons (Thomas,James, John, George and William), and 4 daughters (Agnes, Mary, Ann and Isobel).
Any information wouold be appreciated.
