Andrew Dillman Jr. (son of Andrew Dillman Sr.) was born October 21, 1751 in Northumberland, Northumberland Co., PA (now Union or Snyder Co.), and died May 21, 1823. He married Barbara Rousch on August 01, 1777, daughter of George Casper Rousch.

Moved to Bourbon Co., KY, with brother George Michael Dillman approx. 1795. By 1797 they were in Bracken County. IN Dec. 1819 or January 1820, George Michael sold his Bracken Co. land and moved to Clermont Co., OH. They came (before Bourbon Co., KY) from Northumberland Co., PA which in later years became parts of Union and Snyder Counties. They and the Rousch lived in part of Lancaster tha became Lebanon prior to moving to Northumberland. Both families were Lutherans according to church records. THIS ANDREW WAS BORN 1753. George Michael was born before 1765 and was at least 21 by 1786 when he paid taxes. THIS ANDREW IS THE SON OF GEORGE DILLMAN & MARGARET MURR. GEORGE DILLMAN IMMIGRATED FROM TEUSCHNEUREUT, BADEN-DURLACH WHICH IS A SMALL VILLAGE NORTH OF KARLSRUE. HE CAME ON THE SAME SHIP WITH MICHAEL WEBER (MARRIED TO GEORGE'S SISTER-IN-LAW AND ANOTHER SISTER OF ANDREW MURR) & ANDREW MOHR/MURR (GEORGE'S BROTHER-IN-LAW.)


Andrew Jr. enlisted as a private in 2nd PA regiment, Continental Line under Capt. Lewis Farmer either 04/11/1775 or 06/01/1776 or both? 09/09/1778 private in Lt. Col. Henry Hiller's Co. & 1780 he was in Capt. John Stoy's 2nd PA, 1790-1800 listed in 2nd PA Col. Walter Stewart's regiment, but is supposed to have move to KY in 1795.

Battles: Brandywine, Germantown, Monmouth, Yorktown when Cornwallis surrendered


Moved to KY by flatboat from Pittsburgh 1795 to Limestone (later called Maysville, Mason Co., KY. Sdettled in Bracken Co.

Above lists Dillmans and Rauschs as Lutherans, another source say Dunkards.
