"Josephine started working in Eau Claire, Eau Claire Co, WI when she was 15 years old for $1.25 a week and a lot of hard work.
Josie married Engebret Anton KILDE June 10, 1891. He was born April 4, 1864 in NORWAY, died May 31, 1924. They lived with his folks for a while but later bought some land and built a house, etc. and moved and started farming themselves. Josie's funeral was held Sunday, Feb. 23, 1964 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church, the Rev. Raymond Overgaard and Fred Masted officiating. Burial in Rock Creek and Meridean Cemetery. She was born in Eau Claire and was a member of the Rock Creek Church and a charter member of the Ladies Aid. After her daughter, Laura died she lived with her daughter Delia, later changing of living with Mary and Clara." Mrs. John L. LARSON
