Hi Shirley! This is a very complicated family you are researching due to the multiple usage of given names by numerous branches of the families. This is what I have found so far.
Aaron Brock was supposedly born to Rueben Brock & a woman from the Cherokee Nation in the then Carolinas, approximately 1721.
I have found no documentation for this, only family stories handed down.
Jesse Brock was his son, born 1751 in Cumberland Co, VA. (There was also a sister named Mary Polly Brock. I don't have her birth date handy.)
Jesse's wife is thought to be Rebecca Howard, sister of Samuel Howard.
They had 9 children that I am aware of. One was a Mary Brock b ca1793, but she married Shadrock Helton. They also had a son, Amon I, b ca1788, who married 1st, Molly Osborne. They had 10 children. (He had 6 more w/2nd wife, Charity Rose.) Amon I & Molly had a daughter, Mary Brock, b 1833, who married Elisha North. Amon I & Molly's 1st son, Ephraim I, b 1815, married Nancy Shepherd of Clay Co, KY. It is said that the name Ephraim came into the Brock line from Ephraim Osborn, b 1752, in Rowan Co, NC. He moved to Wallen's Creek, Harlan Co, KY, where he dies Nov 9, 1852. His wife was named Polly and died 1840. (This area of Clay Co is now Leslie Co.) Ephraim must be a family name since Amon I's wife, Molly, was an Osborne.
Ephraim I and Nancy Shepherd had 9 children that I know of. They had a daughter, Mary, b 1855. I do not know who she married. Perhaps this is the one you seek?
My husband is decended from their son, Ephraim II and Aggie Caldwell.
Amon I & Molly Osborne also had a son, Aaron, b 1844.
Aaron married Barbara Shepherd, b 1820, possibly Nancy's sister. They had a daughter, Polly, b 1858, but I don't know who she married either.
So you see, this will not be an easy journey you are embarking on. lol Happy hunting! Celeste Conrad-Brock
