Sees, Normandie (Orne); frere de Noel m Francoise Grenier; pilote; cite 19-09-1649 (J.J.) au 01-09-1658 Quebec. !INFORMATION: From Rick Traversy Feb 1998: So according to Jette, Jean was a brother of the Noel Langlois who married Francoise Grenier and their parents were Guillaume Langlois and Jeanne Millet. Jean was from St. Leonard des Parcs parish, arrondissement (precinct or district) of Alencon, eveche (diocese) of Sees, from old Normandy, which is now Orne, in France. He was a ship pilot. He was cited in documents in Quebec for various reasons, first cited in 19 September 1649 and last on 1 September 1658. !INFORMATION: From Rick Traversy Sept 1998: Says Fact 1: 1685, 35 years old at death Fact 2: 1666, 24 years old in census of Trois-Rivieres, servant to Jacques Marchand Fact 3: 1667, 25 years old in census St. Cap-de-La-Madelein, Servant to Jacques Marchand Fact 4: Above three facts are not consistent, probably age 45 at death, buried 26 August 1687 Quebec. |
