Notes for ZEPHIRIN GRAVEL: Subj: Gravelle's Date: 7/18/03 1:21:05 PM Pacific Daylight Time From: mkussow@laborready.com To: PhyllisNor@aol.com Sent from the Internet (Details) Phylliss, Here is the information I have so far. I just started working on this a few months ago, so it is rather sketchy. from his funeral card: " Zephyrin Gravel" died September 20th, at the age of 75 children's names pulled from census info in Marinette County, WI ( 1900 and 1910 ) sons --- Zeipher, Joseph, James, and Henry Henry was my wife's g-g-grandfather. from obituaries from Joseph and Henry they indicate 2 sister's no first names, only Mrs. O. N. Durand and Mrs. J.D. Blake. Henry was killed in a logging accident with the railroad on April 25, 1905 in nearby Wausaukee, Wisconsin. Joseph died sometime around 1925. He was still living near Pembine. Prior to Henry's death he married Emily DeHut on Oct 26, 1901 in Pembine. They had two children: Arthist Xavier ( b- Feb 4, 1902) and Viola Vivian ( b- Feb 27, 1904). From Henry's death and marriage records it indicates he was born in either Champion or Ishpeming, Michigan on Sept 7, 1884. Emily eventually remarried and moved to Gladstone, Michigan. I know very little about Henry's siblings. When Henry's brother, Joseph died, the obituary said he had two sister's-- one living in Chicago and one living in California. It also stated that Zeipher was living in Pontiac, MI and James was still living in Pembine. As I find more I will send it to you. Thank you so much for the info you sent, it is fascinating ! Mike Kussow P.S. where could I find more information on Zephyrin's father, Claude ? Phyllis and Adrian, Thank you for all that information on these 2 families (Zephirin and Marguerite Charette and Kramer). I have the name of the second daughter of Zephirin and Marguerite Charette: Marie-Dalia who was born 18 Jun 1879 in St-Henri de Mascouche and was christened 18 Jun 1879 at the same place. -- Suzanne Ducas Montréal, QC |
