September 08, 1778 Thomas (Sr.) Heathcock (brother of Martha Hathcock) enters 200 acres in Anson County N.C. on NE of Pee Dee River in the fork of Beaver dam and Gum Swamp Creeks; includes improvement he lives on. 3. THOMAS SR² HATHCOCK (EDWARD¹) was born Unknown in Virginia, and died April 13, 1818 in Richmond County, North Carolina. He married UNKNOWN.

Northampton County, North Carolina, Deed Abstract, Deed Book 2, page 476, "Edward Hathcock to his son Thomas Hathcock Deed of gift, 100 acres on Tubafield's Run adjacent to James Parham, Dury Jordon, Ragland's Ferry Road dated 15 May 1758; Proven July Court 1758. Witnesses: John Scoules and Drury Jordon."
Carolina Observer, 13 , April 1818. Died in Richmond County on the 13th instant at the seat Colonel T. Pate, Thomas Hathcock, aged one hundred and twenty five years. He left a numerous family of children settled in different parts of the country, two of whom lived in the State of Georgia, one aged ninety-three and the other eighty-seven, one son in Richmond County, but little rise of sixteen years of age. ?
