He said in his pension application (file #S7265 of the Revolutionary War) he left his discharge papers with his mother and brother in Northampton Co.
Willie Norton was listed on the 1790 Census of Northampton Co., page 73. Only one male was listed in his household; himself over 16 years old and one female (probably his mother).
William, Isham and William Norton were listed in the payroll records of Capt. Augustin Spain’s Company of the 2nd. N.C. Regiment of Militia.
