| I started this research for my daughters so when they are finally interested, the information will be there for them. But now I have gotten the bug and squeal with delight with every bit of new information. Michael Cody, a glassblower, came to the US about 1850 with others of the Cody family who were relatives of Cardinal Cody. He followed his future wife, Mary Coughlin who traveled to the US with her parents in 1849. They traveled via New York to St. Louis, Missouri and then Tipton, Illinois, a trip which took 7 months. Michael and Mary were married at the Old Cathedral in St. Louis. |
