Albert Nutt and his wife Mary McIntyre bought this property in 1895.They built a frame house and a small barn.Later they added another part to the house and bricked the outside.The bar is still in use on the farm was built in 1903 by Kritzer Brothers.A shed was also built.They kept horses, a few cows, some pigs and quite a flock of sheep.
Albert's nephew Russell Nutt (1891-1983) came to this farm when he was 9 years old and lived with his aunt and uncle.He walked to USS# 3 and to the Presbyterian Church and Sunday School in Atwood, over 5 miles away.In time, after working hard and saving his money, he bought a new high-topped buggy and a really good driving horse.In 1916, he married Ellen May "Nellie" Willoughby (1896-1992) at the Atwood Presbyterian Church.After a short honeymoon they purchased the farm from Albert.Albert and Mary moved to Atwood and retired
