Finding the ancestors for two families can be very interesting when you consider neither my husband nor I had any idea what the names our ancestors were other then our immediate grandparents. Credits: Some of this information was documented in published works such as "The Ancestery and Posterity of Matthew, John, Daniel and Samuel Lyle, Pioneer Settlers in Virginia", by Oscar K. Lyle and in "THE SHIPMAN FAMILY IN AMERICA" published in 1962 by the Shipman Historical Society, but most of the attached information has been gathered by researchers helping researchers. If where not for those who helped with their time and resources, we would not have been able to find names much less the resources. To all of you that have helped- THANKS!
