"James Greer, son of Henry and Mary (Turner) Greer, a Quaker, was born at Newton, England, in April 1653; was brought by his parents in that year to Ireland. He resided at Lissascurran, Parish of Shankill, County Armagh. The FAMILY CHART states "He suffered," indicating he was killed because of religious questions sometime after 1693. On June 20, 1678, at a place called Roger, he married Eleanor Rea, born February 25, 1659, a daughter of John Rea, of Shankill, who, in his will, left all of his properties to his said daughter, Eleanor Rea. Issue, five: Henry, Mary, John, Thomas, and James."
