| Iam researching our family tree starting with Jacob Schiewe who came to the united states with his wife. The 1880 census in the Dakota territory finds him with wife Christina and 5 children. 1. Jacob jr. born 1862 2. Johannes 1873 3. maria 1876 4. sophia 1878 5. christina April 12 1880 They came from Russia. I think the family came to the US in 1876 and They settled in the Dakota Territory. It is my belief that Jacob Jr. (who is my G. grandfather) had a different mother. This family - plus Jacob sr.'s two brothers George and Peter ended up in the state of Washington and Oregon. If any one out there has any information regarding this family please contact me. I am trying to find out where Jacob sr. died and when. |
