| Jack and Christine O'Brien have lived in Colorado since they were married in June, 1968.Jack was a intern at St. Lukes Hospital in Denver for a year.He then did a year of residency at St. Francis Hospital in Colorado Springs.Their first child, Kevin, was born there in November, 1969, shortly after the first man walked on the moon. From there the family set up practice in Longmont, Colorado, where the other three children were born, Daniel, Barry and Emily.After residency in Littleton, Colorado for about 10 years, Jack and Chris live in Monte Vista, Colorado as "empty nesters" Chris and Jack are both originally from Ohio.Jack is from Cincinnati and Christine from Dayton.Jack, a physician,is the middle of three brothers.Paul, the oldest is a Jesuit priest and William (Bill) has a doctorate in theology; and while retired, teaches occasionally at Georgetown University.Bill and Karen have three children, Rachel, Peter and Sara. Chris is one of eight siblings.Grant is a physician in Bellingham, Wa.; Ron a businessman and "tour guide' in Dayton, Ohio; Robert just took a new job as Academic dean at Jefferson Community College in Louisville; Chris is a temporarily retired supervisor for the Health Facilities Division at the State Health Department; Paula (Cooper) is volunteer extrodinaire and lives in Spokane, Washington; Beth (Elizabeth) is a academic librarian at Kansas State University, Manhattan' Kansas; Phil is a postman for the city of Dayton and Doug is a computer salesman in the Dayton area. Jack's parents were Paul O'Brien and Alma Florence Niehaus O'Brien, both from Cincinnati. Chris's parents were Dr. Robert Deger and Winifred Ann Grant.Dr Deger was born in Ohio, Winifred in Michigan.Family names are Hochwalt, Briggs, Irons, Grant. August 3, 1999 | The John R.
