He married Bridget ? and they had 5 Children: Cornelius Mathew O'Brien b. 10 Jun 1852, Elmira, Chemung, NY, d. 08 Jan 1934 Grinnell, Poweshiek, IA; Margaret (O'Brien) SHIER, Mary A. O'Brien, Bridget O'Brien, and Nellie (O'Brien) STEGER.
