Jan. 1858, to William Praul, son of Jacob and Katharine (Humor) Weller.
Their home was in Asbury, N.J.. She was the daughter of Jesse and C.
Stewart and is buried in the Stewartsville Cemetery.

Catherine E., daughter of William Swetland and Maria (Tripp) Shoemaker.
According to page 580, Stephen J. was for some time in the employ of
William S. Shoemaker, Sutler of the 143d Regiment, Pa. Vol. Inf., in the
Civil War, and later was a farmer, merchant, and dealer in real estate. The
home of Stephen J. and Catharine (Shoemaker) Sharps was in Wyoming, Pa.,
and was located on Wyoming Ave. He and his wife are buried in the Dunmore
Cemetery, Dunmore Pa. Their children were: Maria, William Shoemaker, and
George O.

ACOB I. SHOEMAKER:
According to the Micheal Shoemaker Book, page 431, Jacob I. Shoemaker, the
son of Isaac Countyman and Catharine (Shoemaker) Shoemaker, was born at New
Troy, now West Wyoming, Pa., April 7, 1839, and was baptized June 18,1848,
by Rev. Rhomas H. Pearne of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Jacob Shoemaker
was married by Rev. Henry Hunter Wells, Dec. 23, 1863, to Mary Margaret,
daughter of John Jr. and Catharine Bethiah (Breese) Sharps, of Wyoming, Pa.
Mrs. Catharine Bethiah (Breese) Sharps was a duaghter of Lot and Falla
(Jenkins) Breese. Mary Margaret Sharps was born Oct. 27, 1843, and was
baptized, June 23, 1863, by the Rev. Albert B. King, of the Wyoming, Pa.,
Presbyterian Church. At that time she united with that church and was an
active member until she withdrew, and united the Wyoming Methodist
Episcopal Church, of which her husband was a member. She served for many
years as president of the Ladies Aid Society of the latter church and was
also an active worker in the Missionary Societies. She devoted a great
deal of time and effort to the various interests of the Sunday School at
Shoemaker Memorial Chapel and served as Superintendent, as a teacher and as
Treasurer. She was a member of the Wyoming Monument Association of
Wyoming, of Harmony Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and of the Women's
Relief Corps, auxiliary to Conyngham Post, Grand Army of the Republic,
Wilkes-Barre, Pa. She died at West Wyoming, Pa., Nov. 18,1908, and is
buried in the Shoemaker plot in the Wyoming Cemetery.---- For more
information on Jacob I. Shoemaker read the Micheal Shoemaker Book. Jacob
paid Mr. Blair to write the book.

Harry was located in the Michael Shoemaker Book, page 431. According to
page 491 of the same book, Harry Shoemaker was born in West Wyoming,
Luzerne Co., Pa., Nov. 15, 1880, and attended the West Wyoming public
schools and Wyoming Seminary, at Kingston, Pa. He learned the trade of a
carpenter. At the time of his marriage he was in the employ of James
Fowler and Sons, Merchant millers, at Pittston, Pa. He later was in the
employ of his father, and now (1919) is again in the service of James
Fowler and Sons. He is a member of the Wyoming Lodge, No. 468, F. and
A.M., of Wyoming, Pa., of the Bloomsburg, Pa., Consistory and of Irem
Temple, A. A. O. N. M. S. of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. He was married, in his
newly furnished home, at Pittston, Pa., by the Rev. W. T. Blair, Sept.
10,1902, to Josie, born April 17, 1885, daughter of Amos and Alice Fidelia
(Larrish) Giberson. They first established their home in Pittston, Pa.,
and later removed to West Eighth street, West Wyoming, Pa. A few months
after the death of Mrs. Mary Margaret (Sharps) Shoemaker, Hary and Josie
(Giberson) Shoemaker removed to the home of his father, Jacob I Shoemaker,
where they reside (1919).
