View Tree for Gertrude H. LunneyGertrude H. Lunney (b. April 1880, d. 1955)

Gertrude H. Lunney (daughter of Peter James Lunney and Emma Jane Perkins) was born April 1880 in Hemlock, (Saginaw County), Michgan, and died 1955. She married John A. Wendt.

Includes NotesNotes for Gertrude H. Lunney:
"Gertie" was the youngest known daughter. She was a student at the Hemlock School in Richland Township (now Hemlock). She married John A. Wendt from Midland, Michigan. While their marriage lasted 40 years, they were known to be socialites and well connected to the political set in Saginaw and the Michigan Senate. Both John and Gertie are buried in the Richland Township Cemetery, just south of the Perkins family plot.
When Gertrude died in 1955, an unknown associate was some kind of caretaker for Gertie Wendt and one way or another the family farm was nearly lost to a woman who nearly conned them into a fraudulent will.
