EMMA JONES, 83, PIONEER CALLED
Relatives here received word of the death yesterday in Long Beach, California of Mrs. Emma Perkins Jones, 83, Harbor pioneer woman. Mrs. Jones was born at Saginaw, Michigan, and came to Aberdeen with her husband George Perkins, 58 years ago. She resided here until here until her marriage to Edwin Jones, at which time she went to Califoirnia to live. Prominent in Harbor lodge circles, she was a charter member of Rhododendron Chapter No. 45, Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a member ofAmaranth Court No. 3, Rebekah Lodge No. 240, and the Link Club. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, George Perkins, of Seattle; one daughter, Mrs. Bessie Stevens, Aberdeen; a niece, Mrs. George Hill, Aberdeen; grandchildren, Mrs. Charles Karjala, Mrs. Lee Percini, and Scott Stevens, all of Aberdeen; and two great-grandchildren, Delores Percini and Richard Percini, both of Aberdeen. Funeral services will be at 2 o'clock, Monday afternoon at Hunter's Mortuary, 5443 Long Beach Avenue, Long Beach.
