December 26, 1920 Bryenton P.O., New Brunswick Dear Thomas, Received your letter was glad to hear from you and to know you are all well. Which leaves us all the same. We had an awful dull Christmas. Bernie and Mary and Julia and Lawrence and Vincent and Stella and Marguerite were all over to Mass X-mas eve. They had midnight mass in Chelmsford. I am glad Hannah (Johanna) is well. Bernie was out of the woods for X-mas but he is going back to the woods tomorrow morning. There are seven going to school from here that is quite a crowd. Joe has not cleared much land since his father died. Jerome was working for Robinson and he took the scarlet fever but he is better now. Able to be up that is putting him back a lot with his work. Aunt Mary is well, she does not use the crutches at all nor she don't even use a cane. Winter soon done tell me what kind of ax is hard good by . George Hayes had a very week heart and he was found dead in the car in the morning, they said it was heart failure. Dave Bryenton went out one Sunday morning to shoot a deer it is supposed but when they went to look for him, they found him shot along side of a rock with the whole side of his face blown off. Lizzie and family is all well. Her second old daughter is teaching school and is well liked. What happened with Ellen? I never heard from her since last spring. I got several Christmas presents the nicest of all was a mass for Fred and Peter. I am not able to do much walking . My leg is pretty sore by time I always and ever have a mass said for the souls in purgatory, the first of November, as many as there is around, I miss your father most of all. Hogans are working in the woods the name of their car is Chevrolet. This is all from, Mother Wishing you all a happy new year.
