Hello I had to redo my page lost my password and id and it was all under a old e-mail address so I never could get the information in to update the page.
My old e-mail address was cc_cf@msn.com now its angela1950@sbcglobal.net
And the web site is http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/o/c/o/Angela-M-Oconnor/

This web site is dedicated to my father, James Floyd Dorman, and his ancestors. My father was the son of Allen Dorman and Laura Aimee Mouton.
I would also like to dedicate my genealogy work to my beloved husband, John Keith O'Connor, who brought me to so many court houses, libraries, and grave yards, to find information. My darling John Keith died November 29, 2002 from lung cancer. John was a beautiful person and I am missing him so much. Thank you my darling for all the driving you did for my mother, Josie Miller Dorman and I.

Allen Dorman's ancestors comes from Orange,Texas, Washington, Louisiana, Lime Stone County,Texas, and Georgia. Laura Aimee Mouton ancestors comes from Southwest Louisiana, Orange,Texas and Acadia.

In 1977 my mother, Josie Miller Dorman, started doing reseach. I was interested and started searching with her. We went to libraries, court houses, bought books, talk to family members and now we are searching the internet.

Portions of our research comes from the books Genealogie des Acadiens by Bona Arsenault, Southwest Louisiana Records by Rev. Donald J. Hebert, The Moutons by Franklin Mouton, The Attakapas County by Griffin, Remember Us by Lucien T. and Melba Martin. We went to the Court Houses in Opelousas, Crowley, Lafayette, Louisiana, Beaumont and Orange, Texas. We used the Morman Library in Vidor, Texas. Information was also retain from Edith Dupre Library in Lafayette, Louisiana. We also went to Governor Mouton town house in Lafayette, Louisiana wonderful information and the pictures of the ancestors were a added addition.

Would like to thank John Oliver Mouton for the pictures and documents that he made for us on a cd named 1st edition of Aleck Mouton and 2nd edition of Aleck Mouton.
My Uncle Wilmar Mouton for giving us pictures of the family.

MILLER-FRANCOIS FAMILY

Click on the related web site below Miller-Francois.

Research on the Miller and Francois comes from the books Pont-Andrepont by Carola Andrepont, The Boone Family 1922 by Hazel Atterbury and Les Francois en Sud-Oust Louisiane by S. John Francois, Southwest Louisiana Records by Rev. Donald J. Hebert, Genealogie des Acadiens by Bona Arsenault.

When using the Dorman-Mouton and Miller-Francois family trees please acknowledge the books where the research came from and also that Josie Miller Dorman and Angela Dorman O'Connor did the research. My Mother Josie and I have spent lots of hours researching the information on this two sites.

Thank You
