I am researching the Benjamin Franklin Archer family and descendants. Pre-American Revolution I believe they were in the area of Antrim County Ireland. Coming to the US as British Loyalists they are believed to have settled around Chester County, South Carolina. Thereafter, (sometime around 1805) they left that area and were given land in the Abacos, particularly on Marsh Harbour and Man-O -War. My descendants then came in 1839 to Key West, Florida. Other names that appear in my family are Weatherford, Pyfrom, Pinder, Albury, Key, Curry, Roberts. |
