I am interested in updating the TROYER family ancestry that is based mainly in the Midwest but reaches from coast to coast. In Australia, I've traced my husband's Irish roots: O'CONNOR, Hannan, Gilbert, Wilson, Farrelly, Pekin, Shanley and Malone[y]. The TROYERS were mainly Pennsylvania Dutch, and names included are Zug, Yoder, Schrock, Miller, Mast, Keck, Kauffman, Lehman, Hochstetler, Heubeck, Bontrager, Beachey and Anderson. Jacob M. Troyer was born in 1853 to Michael Troyer and Barbara Miller Troyer of Sugar Creek, Ohio.My matrilineal line is more difficult because Lew REYNOLDS is so common a name. His son Grover Cleveland Reynolds married Martha Saloma CLARK, a direct descendant of Gen. William Clark of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. I believe that this is via his fourth son, Jefferson Clark, who revisited the route his father took some fifty years hence, and married a Nez Perce Indian in the Oregon Territory. I am glad to share any information that I can, and welcome corrections by any more knowledgeable persons. Regards...
