Owen Beag O’Donnell lived in Nesbitt’s Bay or Port Inis Mil, Lackenagh, Burtonport at the beginning of the 19th century. His father James was the first to live there, having come from Inniscoo Island. James married
Margaret (Maggie) Walsh from Balintra in St. Edward's Church, Philadelphia 28 Oct., 1903
Returned to Ireland some time after and went back again to Philadelphia on the Caledonia ship from Londonderry, September 17th 1905. with my father (born in Balintra). Their other children were Elizabeth and Margaret both born in Phil. The storey goes that James was employed as Conductor on a streetcar and in 1911 died in an accident.
