| I am researching families in the U.S. and in Germany. Some of the names are: 1. In the U.S.: Delling, Dibbern, Heckt, Hemme, Kindt, Kohlscheen, Petersen, Piepgrass, Plymate, Rapp, Steinmetz, Schneekloth, Wiese. Many of these families came from Germany between 1860 and 1890, first moved to Iowa and later to Minnesota. 2. In Germany: Koetting, Reinert, Toenne, Wegener (in Westphalia), Doederlein, Fischer (von Fischer), Kraft, Kretzschmar, Mattheis, Weller, Zieschank (in Saxony and Bavaria). 3. In the U.S. and Poland/Russia: Bukstein, Malvon(chik), Offerman. While I have a lot of my immediate ancestors, I am looking to branch out and find more "cousins," especially on the Offerman line. I'd be happy to share information and pictures. None of this would have been possible without the help of lots of "cousins," in person, by email or by "stumbling" across their own homepages and discovering a link. Thanks to everybody. And - if you discover any errors or omissions, please let me know. |
