OFLAHERTY, COLE, VANSTONE, ROBB, BETTINSON, FORD, COUSINS. PRIDIE, DeGRAVE, MENDHAM. O'FLAHERTY from Connemara,(Camus, Co. Galway) Ireland.Bartley 1853 - 1940 married Mary JOYCE 1859 - 1943. They had four boys and five girls.Their son Bartley went to America, but returned to Ireland he married Annie WALSH in California America in 1919. Patrick also returned to Ireland, John and Comyn stayed in America. Possibly California in the late 1800 or early 1900. VANSTONE from Painswick, Stroud, Tetbury, Gloucestershire and from Tiverton Devon.I have names back to the early 1600 when John 4/8/1673 married ? THOMASIN. Their son Francis married Elizabeth JERMAN on the 30/10/1724. Son Daniel 6/2/1736/7 married Ann FIELDER on 7/10/1761. Son Daniel 21/2/1777 married Mary GILES 29/2/1796. Son Isaac 9/2/1801 married Mary Ann WATTS on 30/3/1826. Son Daniel 31/8/1841 - 30/3/1890 married Rosa Jane FORD 11/6/1852 - 24/1/1933, on 20/3/1872. Rosa had a brother Henry John FORD who emigrated to Queensland, Australia in 1862 on "The Queen of the Colonies". He is buried at Toowong Cemetery, Brisbane.I would like any info on his family and the VANSTONES. COUSINS.from Oxford and Abingdon. I Have found out a lot of information on this family and have gone back with Wills etc to William who died in 1754 in Abingdon. William George COUSINS was a coach builder in Abingdon and Oxford, his sons were chemists and missionaries. JAMES SMITH COUSINS went to New Zealand on the Matilda Wattenbach in 1862. He married Hannah EDWARDS and they had a coach making business COUSINS & ATKINS in Auckland. GEORGE COUSINS worked for the LONDON MISSION SOCIETY and also wrote books about his experiences.He married CATHERINE DIXON the daughter of a Tent Missionary, Their children were born in MADAGASCAR. Their grandchildren were missionaries in China and Africa. Arthur Dixon Cousins went to Ontario Canada, any information on this branch welcome. COLE from Lincolnshire,Has been traced back to Thomas Cole 1688 -1757 and Mary WILDBOAR 1694 - 1761. GreatGrandfather Samuel COLE 1839 - 1919 married twice, Sarah Anne MENDHAM 1839 -1871. Their children John Robert 1867 - 1947 married LIZZIE BETTINSON ROBB 1866 - 1939. Sarah 1868 - 1953, Samuel 1869 - 1946 Went to New Zealand, William 1870 - 1925, Jane 1871 -1890 and James 1871 - 1873. Samuls second wife was Sarah Jane CRANE 1850 - 1899 they had 6 children, Walter 1875, Isaac 1878, Frank 1881, Bertie 1884, Martha 1886 and Hilda. Hilda 1893 - 1992 married Cyril COOK M.B.E.1895 -1983. All information welcome, especially on the second family. ROBB from St.Ives, Hunts, Outwell, Norfolk. Holbeach, Lincs. Aston, Birmingham and Bolton Lancs. Most of them were Rope makers. A group of us working on this family from various branches, all information welcome. BETTINSON/ BETTISON/ BETTENSON and other variants, All and any information wanted, especially from Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Nottinghamshire. PRIDIE from Oxford, Durham, London, Rev James PRIDIE and his siblings especially. DeGRAVE from the Leicester Fields area of London. Roland TOUZEAU married Marie / Marguerite DeGRAVE in this area. CHARLES FORD born in Littleworth, Gloucester 1809, married ANN EAGLES HARTLEY born 1810 St. George in the East, Stepney, daughter of THOMAS HARTLEY and LYDIA DAVIS both from Kent. ROBERT MENDHAM 1811 Terrington St. Clement Norfolk married SUSSANAH LE(A)DBETTER 1808 in the same place. They moved to and farmed at Holbeach.
