I am researching the following lines:Ogilvie/Starratt & King/Luther (my husband's line) Adams/Outlaw & Peavy/Mims (my line) are the initial surnames for my research; however, I began more than fifteen years ago before the internet was available to me and added other names. I now have Geiger, Riggs, English, Harrison, Gray/Grey,McArthur King, Boyles and many more. I like to follow the female line as well as the male. Probably not the 'proper' way but does make interesting family history. Most of my earlier research has been in the southern states of FL, GA, SC, NC, and VA. Did find the Scotland link in the Ogilvie line and via internet found much Geiger and English data with links to Switzerland and England/Ireland. Would appreciate any information regarding Elizabeth English, daughter of Robert English. I think she married Samuel Harrison around 1780 - 1786 but cannot prove it. Marriage probably would have been in one of the states listed above or possibly in the British Honduras where her father died in 1788. Would be glad to share my information for what it's worth and would appreciate input from others. |
