This page is dedicated to Sabert Oglesby family line originatingin Scotland. Sabert came to South Carolina in the mid 1700,
possibly after the 1745 rebellion in Scotland. Sabert appears in
the 1790 federal census in South Carolina, then in Alabama in
the 1830 census. Sabert is buried in Bibb county, Al. and his
tombstone reads that he was born in Scotland, enlisted in the
Revolutionary army Dec.31 1776, fought in the war of 1812, Died
April 19, 1831.

I am interested in any information about the area in Scotland he
may have came from and any details of his life in South Carolina.
Anyone with information on the Oglesby family line, feel free to
contact me.
