Susanna Odell commented on her shock that Ben would marry someone as old as Lucinda in a Dec. 1882 letter to her mother and Euphemia. Interestingly, her marriage certificate lists her mother's name as Catharine.

This Ben may be the son of Henry Covey, b. 1840 (as per Pam Wood Waugh's web site), but need more proof before connecting the trees.

The Hillside Cemetery records claims he was 81 years old when he died (b. 1865?), but he didn't appear in Zeph's family in the 1870 census. Per Calvin Lamb (1/2/01 email): "I suggest the 1901 census were probably correct. He was born in 1873 & died at an age of 74 not 81."
