Inventory of his estate taken 27 June 1710, by James Patterson, David Buck and Samuel Smith; amount was 624-0l-09; Connecticut Record, 3 July 1710, adm. gr. to widow and son John, and dist. ord. tothe ch. named below, except Thomas (probably dec'd).


Court Record, 21 August, 1728, Ann Nott informs this Court that her father John Nott 2nd Dyed Intestate about 19 or 20 years ago. A Distribution of the Estate was made to each child so many pounds in value but not by meets & bounds--by conserd(g) the children their mother Patience Nott had improved the whole. This Court appoint men to sett out by meets & bounds each ones portion but John Nott moves that he be allowed to have the home lot he paying the rest of the Heirs Just value--from Record on file 3 March 1711-12, Dist. to Patience Nott widow, to John Nott, to Jonathan, to William, to Nathaniel, to Gershom, to Abraham, to Thankfull & to Ann Nott 12 March 1732-3, Thomas Harris & William Blinn in Right of their wives Thankfull and Ann, Heirs to the Estate of John Nott moves this court to set out the home lott of the Deed by meets & bounds to the respective Heirs according to an order of this Court 4 March 1711-12and it appears to this Court by the sd. distribution that the sd. home lot was not divided to the heirs by meets & bounds now appoint Jonathan Belding, Jacob Goodrich and Jonathan Burnham to set out etc. John Nott the eldest son appealed to the Superior Court. And, in May, 1737, Patience Nott, the widow having informed the Ct. that tho' her husband had been many years dead, she had not yet rec'd her right of dower in the real est. Nath'l Burnham, Gideon Welles and Elizur Goodrich were app. to set out to her "her 1/3 part of the ld. by meets and bounds." She is supp. to have d. at Saybrook, after 1745.
