My brother Hunter Merritt Oliver Jr. and I are researching information regarding William M. Oliver b. 1824 d 1871 in Georgia m: Winefred Baskins. Records do not show what the middle initial M is for. We do not know anything about William's father and mother or siblings. There is one source that implies William's father's name was James Oliver b 1793 (where?) and d 1833 (buried?) and James' wife was Catherine (no info). William and Winefred had three children: (1) Sarah Frances "Sallie"Oliver b 8 Aug 1849 in Georgia (2) Temperance O. Oliver b 1 Dec 1853 in Georgia; and (3) Our father's father: Willard Wilburn Oliver b: 20 April 1856 in Pinehurst, Dooley County, Georgia USA d: 1930. Willard Wilburn Oliver Sr.was married twice: (1) Elizabeth E. Mobley on December 15, 1874 in Pulaski County, Georgia USA (2) Katie Mayo (Norwood her mother's maiden name) Anderson in Pulaski County Georgia on November 19, 1891. Our father Hunter Merrit Oliver Sr. was b. March 28, 1909 in Grand Ridge, Jackson County, Florida USA. He died in 1994 and was buried in Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida USA. We look forward to receiving more information regarding our family's (Oliver, Anderson, Mayo, Norwood) and shall share what we have with you. We do have pictures. |
