I am looking for information on the Nicholas Oliver family. Our ancestor arrived in the United States at the Port of New York, 4 June 1880, 34 years of age.
His residence in England was Mount Pleasant, Warleggon, County Bodman, Cornwall, UK and he settled in Jacksboro, Jack County, Texas. His wife's name was Ellen Warne, also from the same district in England. We have a fairly extensive and accurate record of the family from that point but would always like to fill in the gaps and learn more about the family from prior to his entry into this country.
Other Family names I am interested in are the Staats Family (my wifes family from Kansas), the Lindsay Family (my paternal grandmothers name)from Scotland, then Pennsylvania to Alabama then to Texas, and the Sewell Family (my maternal grandfather's name) from Macon, Georgia to Texas. We know nothing of the Sewell family prior to about 1890.
