I have compiled a great deal of information and published it in a book called FROM WINGFIELD TO WOOD, THREE HUNDRED YEARS IN AMERICA. The book is $35.00 post paid and contains information on my Revolutionary War Ancestors including data compiled from Will Books, Order Books, Deed Books, Old Family Bibles and Records and other sources of information. I have also included in the book a few royal descents and a descent from Adam and Eve using records from the Tara Vindicata, an ancient transcript from Ireland. Ireland was not devasted and invaded as Europe and southern Britain was by the Vandals and other Barbarians, thus many of the records remained intact while those in Europe were burned along with the Monastaries which housed them.
My book deals mainly with the ancestors and descendents of three
many times great grandfathers who fought in the American Revolution. Jonathan Burleson was killed by the British, Francis Young and David Kerr were both shot by the Tories, and Wingfield Wright risked his Plantation of several thousand acres in siding with General George Washington. My earlist ancestors (Wright Family) arrived in Virginia the mid 1600's, emigrating from their home at Bolton-on-Swayle, Yorkshire, England where they had been established for centuries.
An interesting genealogical fact is that most of Western Europe's
population, including the British Isles are descended from William the Conqueror, who invaded and conquered England in 1066. Royal Descents are generally well documented, and I have used them to show how my family, a presidential family like the Bush's, the family of Lady Diana Spencer and Queen Victoria's family can all be related, although distantly. where there are various kinship reports showing the relationship between, for example myself, President George Bush and the late Grand Duchess Anastasia of Russia.
Being descended from those who helped shape Western Civilization makes it more interesting to study History. I was amazed to find that some of my ancestors who lived and fought in the American Revolution were descended from men who stood as sureties for the Magna Carta which is the blueprint for our Constitution. Part of this vast cousinage includes retired Senator Howell Heflin of Alabama, for years Chairman of the United States Senate Ethics Committee, Jacqueline Kennedy, former Presidents Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin D. Roosevelt, George Bush, George Washington as well Major Burleson who fought at the Alamo, two Miss Alabamas and many other high achievers.
My ancestral Sureties of the Magna Carta include Henry de Bohun, Earl of Hereford; Saire de Quincy, Earl of Winchester; Robert de Vere,Earl of Oxford; William Marshall, Earl of Pembroke; William Longespee, Earl of Salisbury; William d'Aubigny, Earl of Arundel and William de Warenne, Earl of Surry.
Saints of the Catholic Church my family descends from include St. Margaret of Scotland, Archduke Leopold III of Austria, Louis IX of France and David I of Scotland. St. Olga of Russia was canonized by the Russian Orthodox Church.
Genealogy is a hobby for those with the calling.

This is a picture of George W. Bush campaigning for president. The president and I share a distant royal great-grandfather in King Edward III of England. Nearly every single president and challenger had been descended from one of the Kings of England, an ironic fact since the Revolutionary War was fought to free the United States from British tyranny. We are also descended from his wife Queen Philippa of Hainault, great-granddaughter of King Phillip III of France
and his Queen-Consort, Isabella of Aragon.

The late Princess of Wales and I share a common pair of many times great grandparents in Princess Philippa Plantagenet of England, granddaughter of King Edward III and her husband Edmund Mortimer, 3'd Earl of Marche. The beautiful princess was greatly admired and loved by millions of people all over the world for the huge volume of work she did for worthy causes.

Queen Victoria is often called the "grandmother of Europe" because her grandchilden sat on most of the Thrones of Europe. One of her granddaughters was the tragic Czarina Alexandra of Russia, whose friendship with Rasputin was to have dire consequences for Russia and the Romanov Family.
Europe suffered as well as World War I was actually a huge family feud with Queen Victoria's grandson Kaiser William II of Germany fighting her other grandson King George V of Great Britain and Ireland. Victoria's grandchildren sat on the Thrones of Russia, Germany, Norway, Great Britain & Ireland, Spain, Romania, Greece and the Grand Duchy of Hesse-Darmstadt.
