be able to provide info about the family of whoever married the OLLIS, because OLLIS is a "marrying in" name in this book. Still, you might find it useful.

Minerva Wiseman, the first-born of James Henry and Nancy (Pendley) Wiseman, married Joe Ollis, and they are said to have had three children: Nannie (probably Nancy), Waits (from the name Waitsell),

Thelma drowned as a child while at school. Somebody told her that her brother (John Finley Ollis) was in the water, and while she stood on some bone (mine waste), it broke and she fell in. A few years ago I (Steve Ellis) got a letter from a gentleman who was Thelma's classmate and remembered this drowning since they took her to his house.
