57. EDWARD5 OLLIS (RIGGS4, JAMES3, PETER2, SEBASTIAN "BOSTON"1) was born 1866 in Palmyra, Indiana, and died 1959 in Palmyra, Indiana. He married JULIA AUSTIN. She was born 1868, and died 1947 in Palmyra, Indiana.

Mrs. Julia B. Ollis Passed Away Unexpectedly
May 1, 1947

Mrs. Julia B. Ollis, wife of Edward Ollis passed away quite suddenly and unexpectedly, Sunday afternoon at 2:45 o'clock at her home in Palmyra following a three days illness.

Mrs. Ollis was seventy-nine years of age. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marion Austin and was born and reared in the County. She was a member of the E. U. B. Church.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock at the E.U. B. Church conducted by the pastor Rev. A. S. Howard.

Music was furnished by Mrs. Ward Herthel and Mrs. S. B. Melton. Burial was in Palmyra Cemetery.

Surviving are her husband Edward Ollis, three daughters Mrs. Hattie McBrair of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Condon Boaz and Miss Audra Ollis of Palmyra. She also leaves eight grandchildren.

58. WILLIAM DANIEL5 OLLIS (RIGGS4, JAMES3, PETER2, SEBASTIAN "BOSTON"1) was born December 07, 1870 in Palmyra, Indiana68,69, and died July 07, 1959 in Palmyra, Indiana. He married CLARA CONNOR, daughter of JIM CONNOR and FANNIE. She was born March 29, 1879, and died June 13, 1934 in Palmyra, Indiana.

Clara Belle Conner, daughter of James and Fannie Conner was born near Martinsburg Ind., March 29, 1879, and just as day was breaking, June 13 1934, peacefully fell asleep, at the age of 55 years, 2 months and 13 days.

She was united in marriage to William D. Ollis: December, 1896. To this union three daughters and three sons were born, namely Clyde Ollis, Mrs Ethel Turnbaugh, Freeman and William Jr., of Palmyra Ind., Mrs. Myrtle Criswell, of Bloomington, and Mrs. Iris Hosbach, of New Albany.

She leaves to mourn her going, the husband and six children, also four sisters and four brothers, namely Mrs. Sadie Coats, of Borden, Ind., Mrs. Alpha Fallon and Bert Conner, Palmyra, Mrs. Minnie Moholland, Ben and Carl Conner, Louisville, Ky., Mrs. Florence McFarland, and Walter Conner, of Detroit, Michigan.

Her parents, three brothers and one sister have preceded her in death. She united with the United Brethren Church a number of years ago, and remained faithful until Jesus beckoned her home.

Clara, as she was familiarly known, possessed such a pleasing personality, that wherever she went, her friends were numbered by scores. Her life was one of service, always ready and willing to minister to the needs of others. But her life work here is ended, and she has gone to be with Him, who lovingly and tenderly cares for his own.

Services were conducted Friday afternoon at the Palmyra U. P. Church with Dr. C. E. Belden, in charge. Music was furnished by the choir with Miss Louise Avery at the piano and Rev. and Mrs. Barker, former pastor and wife, brought a special number in song. The address was by Rev. Walls.
