| I am descended from J. P. McMULLEN and Mary HARRISON, both born in Mississippi. Still searching for exact place and date for both of these. Their son William Wallace McMULLEN was my maternal grandfather, b. 1882 in Arkansas, m. Pearl NOLAND and father of Leona Elizabeth McMULLEN, my mother, b. 1903 Joplin, MO. Wallace and Pearl also had two other children, Thelma b. 1905 Joplin MO and Howard Laurence b. 1907 Joplin, MO Pearl died about 1909 and Wallace remarried some time afterward. I believe his second wife's name was SCOTT, but have no idea of her first name. She may have been a widow with several children. Pearl was the eldest daughter of Ellwood NOLAND and Sophronia JONES. Their other children were Ruby, Elbert, John and Jewel. Ellwood NOLAND was the son of James M. Hardin NOLAND and Pauline Jane COLIVER. My family tree begins with these two eldest ancestors, although I have found information on the web that Pauline descended from the GROOMS line. I have not yet been able to authenticate this information. Would like to share information with others to expand my scanty knowledge of my ancestors. "More will be revealed"..... |
