9. LEWIS² OLNEY (WASHINGTON¹) was born August 17, 1851 ³¹. He married MYRABELLE ELIDA HILL April 11, 1888, daughter of WILLIAM HILL and CLARISSA STEBBINS. She was born 1860 in Illinois.

Notes for LEWIS OLNEY:
In Volume 14 of the World Family Tree, tree #2887, I find a Lewis Olney married to a Myrabelle Elida Hill on April 11, 1888. Her family is in Jo Daviess County, Illinois and has connections in Wisconsin (to Hildebrands, among others). Her sister, Perlie Sylphina Hill, married Walter James Hirst. Perlie died in Meriden, Iowa, where Lewis and Myra Olney lived.
Lewis ("Louis") Olney appears in the 1880 census in Sheriden Twp. Cherokee County, single, living with Warren and Ellen ("Helen") Gundry and their family, on the same page as other Olneys.
I believe this Myrabelle Hill is his wife but would need to check marriage the record to confirm it.

Notes for MYRABELLE ELIDA HILL:
Mary Olney appears in the 1920 census as the wife of Lewis Olney. He is 68, she is 60, their son Benjamin is 31. Birthplace of her father is given as Illinois, her mother as Indiana.
This is not yet clear. Check with Shirley Skadeland re. Lewis' family.

Child of LEWIS OLNEY and MYRABELLE HILL is:

BENJAMIN³ OLNEY³¹, b. 1889.
