William Myers was born in August 1835 in Juniata County, PA. Margaret Barrach/Barrick was born in January 1837 in Markelsville, Perry County, PA. They were married December 25, 1856 in Pennsylvania. They had 9 children all of whom were born in Pennsylvania: David B. Abt. 1857, Mary C. 1859, Samuel 1861, Elmer E. 1864, Andrew J. 1866, William T. 1868, Elizabeth E. 1871, Lewis A. August 1873, and Clara Jane August 1876. David B. Myers married 1) Martha "Mattie" Dawson and had two daughters, Edna May and Pearl. Edna was raised by her Myers grandparents. David married 2) Dora Mecky Kistner and they had at least 4 children: Frederick W. about 1891, Thomas S. about 1892. Elmer E. January 1893, and Margaret 1895. They also raised Pearl. Mary C. Myers married Thomas Jones and they adopted a little girl. Samuel died in infancy. Elmer E. and William T. died in January 1890 from injuries sustained in a train crash in Malcolm, Poweshiek County, IA. Andrew J. married Mary Della Cowan and they resided in Granada, Co. They had 5 children. Elizabeth married George M. Fivecoat and resided in Caldwell, ID. They had 10 children. Lewis never married. Clara Jane, my great grandmother was born in Millerstown, Perry County, PA. She married Judson Pogue in Havelock, Pocahontas County, IA on December 25, 1895. James Pogue was born but the location is not proven. From the diverse information given on censuses at his home and by his children the location could be anywhere from Ireland>NY>PA>IL. He married Cordelia W. Cliff, again more confused information. My current theory is that James' parents were born in Ireland, he in NY, Cordelia in NY. They may have moved first to PA but were in Illinois for the births of their 1st 4 children and the next 5 were born in IA: Flora about 1859, Elmer E. August 1861, Frank E. April 1863, William A. July 1867, Wesley about 1868, Judson July 1872, Albert J. July 1876, John J. 1878, and Bessie Lyle (married Ira W. Havens) 1885-1886. Judson Pogue and Clara (Myers) Pogue had 6 children: Wilda Alla March 1897, Inez Alma August 1899, William Howard (my grandfather) August 1901, Hazel Margaret June 1904, Raymond Roger June 1908 and Bruce Judson February 1917. Wilda and William were born in the Plover area, Pocahontas County, IA. Inez was born in Granada, CO. Hazel, Ray, and Bruce were born in Minnesota.
