I am a descendant of Joseph O'Neill, born 1829 in Ireland. Joseph emigrated to IA, by way of NJ, PA and IL. Joseph was married to Mary Smith. The family settled in Clinton, IA, where they remained until my father's generation. I am currently working to establish the location of Joseph's ancestors in Ireland and am also interested in contacting any other descendants of Joseph, especially of Joseph's first son, Joseph, married to Ellen McFadden (I am descended from Joseph's second son John Augusta, married to Catherine Murphy).
