The ESTEPS first appeared in NC, and then Southwest VA/TN. NC marriage records show SAMUEL ESTEP m. SUSANNAH ADAMS, 11/3/1789.
The ROWLETTS first appeared in Prince Edward County, VA, formerly called Amelia County, in the early 1700s. A Will dated October 23, 1776, and signed by JOHN ROWLETT, b. ca. 1709, is of record in Prince Edward County, VA.

I am Patricia Faye Estep/O'Neal, dau. of Garrett Hobert Estep and Mollie Elizabeth Rowlett, of Corbin, KY. The Esteps may have migrated from WALES. The Rowlett name appears to be French, but letters came from England. My mother had her 101st birthday, January 25, 1998. She died July 23, 1998.
