UPDATE: On July 12,2009, my quest to find my "lost" Great Grandfather, Julius Takacs, has been completed. It only took a little over 7 years to find him. He passed away on January 23, 1943. It appears his remains were cremated. They may be interred at Highland Park Cemetery.

Welcome to my family tree web page. Over the last seven years, I have been constantly adding names to my family tree, but I recently added to the tree in the best possible way, by adding my son Seth Alexander Oney! He came a little early and has his own web page to tell his story. If you haven't already seen it, just let me know.

While I am researching all the branches of my family, I am most actively researching the Walsh, Takacs and Asperger surnames in my family. Also of interest are the Bossert, Kimble, Haas, Crelier, and Gieseman surnames. However, on the top of my list is my great grandfather Julius Takacs. I lose track of him after about 1935 and despite many many hours of research over seven years, I still cannot find him. Anyone with help would be appreciated.

Most of the research in the Nicoulin family branch is courtesy of Larry Nicoulin. Most of the research in the Oney family branch is courtesy of Earnest and Charles Oney.

I would like to thank the following family members for their help in compiling the family tree: Christel Bey, Helen Groves, Michael Bey, Dwight Bey, Sandra Joy, Joyce Finkovich, Lee Oney, Betty Takacs, Earnest Oney, Charles Oney, Edwin Schuler, Marie Vat, Diana Perry, Dorothy Basen, Sally Callihan, Kathy Standfest, Donald Haag, Kathryn Eyring, Janet Rossing, Peggy Owens, Fern Guist, Bob & Joy Asperger, Angel Townsend, Todd Asperger, Ginny Rogalski and Larry Nicoulin.

I am very interested in sharing family information and photos.

2008 Memorials: This page is dedicated to the memory of those we lost. While they may be gone, they are not forgotten: Robert Joseph Oney (86) 7-4-08, John (Jack) Wesley Headington (62) 3-21-08, Christina Elizabeth (Loehrke) Smith (29) 9-30-08.
