Absalom Evans McComb (son of Jacob Evans MCCOMB and Mary Polly Evans) was born January 22, 1852 in Miller County, Missouri, and died December 31, 1940 in Miller County, Missouri. He married Nancy Ann Kelsey on August 21, 1883 in Miller County, Missouri.

1887, August 27 - Rev. A.E. McComb and family, and mother , of Miller County, Missouri, brother and mother of Rev. J. S. McComb of this township, arrived this week at the home o f the latter. They will in all probability become citizen s of this township. We cordially welcome all such newcomer s to this part of Sunny Kansas.
