Maurice O'Rourk emigrated to the USA around 1850. His family gravitated towards the Midwest, settling in IOWA, KANSAS and OKLAHOMA until the 1930's. Two brothers, Maurice and Jerry then moved to the South and East respectively. The family surmanes considered part of the extended O'Rourk clan are Cusey, Wright, Greene, Imburgia, Pupatelli, Danies, Conley and Harris.
There are large gaps in our family history prior to 1880 which generate the on-going search for more data.

I am Robert Paul O'Rourk, the present researcher, taking over for my father, Jerry Cusey O'Rourk. I live on Long Island in New York.

Maurice O'Rourk and his wife Margaret McLaughlin are the biggest and oldest enigma in the family tree. No "E" on O'Rourk is rare and may denote folks from Northern Ireland, rather than from what today is Ireland. Or did the E get dropped during immigration. I believe the former is true, can any other O'Rourk comment?
Maurice & Margaret had Jeremiah and maybe a Maurice Jr
Jeremiah was born in 1853 or 54 was married around 1880 to Catherine Wright of Whitwater WI.
Maurice Wright O'Rourk was born 1883 Mason City Iowa and married Ruth Cusey 1907 in Olathe Kansas. Cusey's are from IOWA & KANSAS.
Maurice Jr 1908 and Jerry 1911 were born in Guthrie Oklahoma.
Jerry married Beatrice Greene in New York. They had Robert, Susan and Jerry Jr.
