I am researching several family names. Orrick(IL), Houston(GA), Vines(GA), Doss(GA), Gatlin(GA), McConnell(GA/SC), Bird/Byrd(GA/NC), Mock(GA), Yeargin(GA), Trout(AR), Story(AR), & Helton(IL/AR). I have reached a dead end with my Orrick line. Charles George Orrick b. 24 Nov 1874, Centralia, Marion Co, IL; d. 5 Oct 1929, Cairo, Alexander Co, IL; m. Katherine Ray Helton. His mother was Anne ?. Brother, John Orrick b. 1870. I believe his parents may have been born in Tennessee. I want to find his father and trace the line back further. Charles & Katherine had six children: Charles Harry, Kathleen, John Thomas, Ray Lafayette, Selden Robert, & William Frederick, all born in Cairo, IL.
